Brazil's wine history

Brazil's wine history dates back to 1875, Italian immigrants in Rio Grande do Sul (southern Brazil) began planting grapes, the wine quickly became an important local economic activity, to 1884, the local wine production has up to 800 million liters.
However, the wine industry or in the mid-20th century, people begin to focus on the quality of wine, grape growing and winemaking in the Uruguay border and the São Francisco Valley Development. Serra Gaúcha

São Joaquim & Vale Rio Peixe
